Hyper Runner: Futuristic Racing Challenge

Hyper Runner is a classic time-based racing game set in a futuristic world.

The player is given a choice of 5 different vehicles, each with their own characteristics, as well as a choice of 12 pilots that further modify the overall capabilities, namely maximum speed, acceleration, maneuverability and durability.

The player must race through five stages, at the end of which, they can chose from 2 possible paths along the current route, yielding 120 possible routes along 15 different stages.

Aside from a countdown timer, the player must navigate corners, avoid other racers as well as obstacles that can slow down or damage the player. If the timer runs out before the end of each stage, or if the vehicle is completely damaged, the race is over.

The vehicles are equipped with a power booster with a limited energy supply that can be used judiciously to overtake other players or gain extra speed in straighter segments of the track. When not used, the energy reserve will refill slowly.

To help the player, various powerups are occasionally available, such as hull repair kits, booster refills and extra time.

Do you have what it takes to be the top Hyper Runner?
